Rockcliffe University Consortium celebrates 5 years in Second Life

Congratulations to Rockcliffe University Consortium celebrating their 5 years in Second Life with an Open House of “Past, Present & Futures of Virtual Worlds” panels and workshops full of educational and encouraging thoughts from the people who engage us all to be innovative advocates. We to hope to inspire community, connections, and collaboration with comrades from all over the world! I hosted the panel on “Can Virtual Health lead to Real Life Wellness?” with guests Gentle Heron, Brena Benoir, and Thinkerer Melville. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this amazing day!

Three Year Celebration of CommonGround Networking Party!

Wow! Three years of amazing support, networking, and team building which has been one of my most favorite accomplishments in Second Life. Ethelred and I have been co-hosts of this community event, but there is a whole team of supporters that make it happen every month and more join us each time around. Just so grateful and thrilled to have the opportunity to create party themes that people enjoy and create connections via colors and common experiences. Thank you all so very much!

“hue are you?” on the Gridwide Super Hero Hunt

Yay!  I am participating in my first Second Life Hunt! It is the Gridwide Super Hero Hunt where you find all kinds of goodies for superheroes and those that do good deeds. (how perfect for me!!!)  “hue are you?” has awesome jams and a short safe cape! The Fair is Feb 8th – 14th and will include several educational and inspirational events, as well as, a chance to browse shops filled with original content by many talented folks in SL. “hue are you?” has a shop there where you will find a special new release themed for Valentine’s Day – the red sparkle party frock. Garden for the Missing

Today I visited with Ronnie Rhode at The Garden for the Missing, her personal project to create awareness. We are standing in front of the poster for Jason Jolkowski, the namesake of the Project Jason organization that assists the families of the missing. In the Garden, you will find 170 missing persons notices in a lush and peaceful setting. Take the time to visit and learn more about the 105,000 people that are currently missing in the U.S. Find out how you can help or increase awareness to support those with hope in their hearts.
